Summary

This lesson includes a presentation that teaches students how to create in-text citations and a works cited page in MLA format. Includes a brief overview of creating citations when using Explora and World Book Online. (Created as a presentation for students doing biography research who need an additional reference to consult for citing sources as they are completing research for their ELA teachers.)

Materials

Digital lesson will require Smartboard and/or student devices.

Students will learn how to create in-text citations and how to build a works cited page in MLA format.

Instructional Procedures

This is a digital lesson created in Canva that requires the teacher to read, explain, and discuss each slide with students. It can then be saved by students as a reference source.

 

Differentiation

This lesson can be used as a reference source digitally or it could be printed out for students to refer to as needed.
