This lesson will take learners step by step through background research to learn about and determine the best topic choice for them while learning about the CRAAP test and the access and use of academic databases.

Day 1 & 2: Organizing your sources- Creating a desktop folder to organize research, intro to mybib.com Evaluating informal sources-CRAAP test & Credibility Continuum Independent practice with students chosen topic
Day 3: Utilize background knowledge to conduct research in an academic database-Utilitze "Guided Research Notes" handout (Also available through a seperate lesson in MASL database). Continue to cite sources in mybib Independent Practice.
Slides are provided in printed format for additional assistance. There are two sessions of built in one on one time with students for reiteration and further assistance/discussion.
